Shooters Shoot: Boxer Adrien Broner Invites Coi Leray To His Next Fight On Her Livestream, She Promptly Declines And Exposes Him For Trying To "Bag Her On IG Live"
We've lost the art of in-person pickups. In the social media age, fellas (myself included) would much rather fire off an Instagram message than go up to someone in public. Barstool's dating and matchmaking expert Nicky Smokes wrote an eloquently put blog about it:
What happened to the game I love? These online dating apps are making men soft. Anyone can swipe all day and send cheesy DMs, but it takes a man to reach down in his pants, grab his balls (figuratively), and approach the girl he wants.
The young pups these days will sit at the bar and drool over some girl the whole night and not even say hi to her. It's sad. Instead, they'll wait until they overhear someone say their name so they can look them up on Instagram and "slide in their DMs." WAKE THE FUCK UP; this is real life, go say what's up!
I'd rather walk up and get rejected than send some weasel-ass DM and pray that she answers. Fuck that, sack up and find out right then and there. But the worst part of it all is when the girl doesn't open the DM, and the guy will say "she didn't leave me on read, she never opened it" …..C'mon dawg WAKE UP!
Words that would make Shakespeare cry. Anyway, you know someone who didn't read Nicky's blog? Adrien Broner, who thought it would be a good idea to shoot his shot on Coi Leray's livestream. Who is Coi Leray you may ask? She's one of the new age rappers (think people you'd know.. Ice Spice, Flo Milli, GloRilla...) who have blown up in the last few years in female rap:
He took the "worst thing she says is no" thing and made it infinitely worse, considering she proceeded to emasculate him for 15 seconds and then ended her live because of it. Luckily, she had a bit of a change of heart and said she wasn't trying to be harsh with Mr. Broner:
But unfortunately for Adrien, he was late to the party because apparently 99 times was too many before Coi decided "no thank you" was too kind:
Listen, this is infinitely worse than being told no. Maybe he should have stuck to the DMs instead of firing off on a public livestream where anyone can see your comment and all of a sudden you're a published blog on Barstool Sports dot com, but in the words of Dion Waiters…
P.S. Coincidence that this is Adrien Broner's meme? Can't be.
Good luck out there fellas.
